SCEA Key Executives Leave Sony

Key members of Sony Computer Entertainment America's executive team have left the company.  Scott Steinberg the VP of Marketing, and Rob Dyer SVP of publisher relations, will both be moving on from the electronics giant.  Sony revealed that Dyer left to work at Zynga, but sources of Industry Gamers tell us that that Scott Steinberg was fired and escorted out by security.

What happened inside the halls of SCEA to lead to this exodus on the executive level?  Given the fact that Sony has failed to catch Microsoft in North America, SCEA's territory, the company could be looking for a new direction from new leaders.

Now which direction that is, and who will replace these recently departed pieces of the company has not been announced.  Expect some sort of announcement and response to the news in the coming days.

Steinberg used to work for Sega, must have brought some bad luck with him, hopefully he takes it with him on his way out.

Hopefully this change will bring great things. I may prefer my 360 over my PS3 but that doesn’t mean I don’t have love for it.

Sony’s taken a huge dump lately. Makes me worry about the PS Vita. The Vita seems like a great handheld, but I’d rather have an iPad 2.
