‘PERFECT HEALTH’: Trump goes on Truth Social rant about his health, but Gavin Newsom’s two-photo response lets the images do all the talking

The governor won this round.

California Governor Gavin Newsom mocked President Donald Trump’s recent health claims. Trump posted on Truth Social Friday morning that he was in “PERFECT HEALTH” after a detailed report came out about his medical condition. Newsom responded by sharing two telling photos of the president.

According to The Daily Beast, the governor posted one image showing Trump’s badly bruised right hand and another showing him sleeping during a White House meeting. Newsom used Trump’s own words as the caption, letting the pictures speak for themselves. The photos directly contradicted the president’s claims about being in perfect health.

Questions about the 79-year-old president’s health have grown louder. As the oldest sitting president, concerns focus on whether he can properly handle his duties. Reports have highlighted issues including his swollen ankles and bruised hands that he covers with makeup.

Trump’s medical routine raises serious questions

In Thursday’s Wall Street Journal report, Trump talked openly about his health treatments. He discussed getting medical scans, wearing compression socks for swollen ankles, and his daily aspirin use. The president revealed several details that raised eyebrows among health experts. This comes as the administration continues executing controversial military operations worldwide.

Trump takes 325 milligrams of aspirin every day, despite doctors telling him to lower the dose. He refused to change because he’s been taking it for 25 years and feels “superstitious” about switching. His doctor, Sean Barbabella, confirmed this high daily dosage.

The president explained his reasoning: “They say aspirin is good for thinning out the blood, and I don’t want thick blood pouring through my heart. I want nice, thin blood pouring through my heart.” He admitted the aspirin makes his hands bruise easily, which is why he uses makeup to hide the dark spots. Trump said the makeup “takes about 10 seconds” to apply.

Trump also tried wearing compression socks to help with chronic venous insufficiency, the medical condition causing his ankle swelling.

However, he stopped because he “didn’t like them.” The president also got a CT scan when doctors recommended it, though he later regretted it, saying it gave critics “ammunition” against him. Meanwhile, the Justice Department addressed Trump-Epstein connections in an unusual social media exchange.

The White House released a statement from Dr. Barbabella defending Trump’s health. The doctor claimed Trump’s test results show “excellent metabolic health” and that his heart health makes him “14 years younger than his age.” He said the president remains in “exceptional health” and fit for duty.
