A ‘Titanic’ statue of Donald Trump and his ‘closest friend’ Jeffrey Epstein has appeared on the National Mall

Sink the whole thing now.

A new statue depicting President Trump and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein as the iconic Titanic characters Jack and Rose has suddenly appeared on the National Mall, as reported by The Hill. You’ll find President Trump in the Jack role, with Epstein taking on Rose, in that famous pose at the ship’s bow where the characters stand with arms outstretched, falling in love before the ship’s tragic end.

This particular piece comes from an anonymous artists’ group that calls itself “The Secret Handshake.” This isn’t the first time President Trump and Epstein have been the subject of these kinds of public art installations. Just this past September, similar statues of the two men were also spotted on the National Mall.

Those earlier statues featured a plaque between them that declared, “In Honor of Friendship Month,” followed by, “We celebrate the long-lasting bond between President Donald J. Trump and his ‘closest friend,’ Jeffrey Epstein.”

The administration is pushing back hard against the implied connections

When asked for comment about the “Titanic” statue, White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson released a statement saying, “When will these wealthy Democrat donors create sculptures of Democrats … who continued to solicit money and meetings from Epstein after he was convicted as a sex offender?”

The president’s past association with Epstein has definitely been a hot topic, especially in recent months. Both sides of the political aisle have been scrutinizing President Trump and his administration over how they’ve handled files linked to Epstein’s investigation.

In fact, this issue has even reached Capitol Hill. Senators from both political parties recently joined forces to request a review from the Government Accountability Office. They want the GAO to look into how the Justice Department has handled and released documents connected to the investigation into Epstein.

This bipartisan effort really highlights the widespread concern and the desire for transparency surrounding these incredibly sensitive files.
