Donald Trump drops a bombshell about JFK Jr’s political ambitions, claiming an insider secret that would have reshaped history

90's nostalgia time.

President Trump just stated that he thinks John F. Kennedy Jr. would have ultimately become president. The president recounted knowing the famed Kennedy personally back in the 1990s, offering a unique glimpse into their interactions.

“I think he would have gone on, perhaps, to be the president,” President Trump said when asked about Kennedy Jr. during an interview, as reported by The Hill. “I actually knew him and liked him, and he liked me, believe it or not,” President Trump mentioned, highlighting a mutual respect between the two. He even pointed out that Kennedy Jr. put him on the cover of George magazine, which Kennedy founded.

Beyond the magazine, President Trump revealed that Kennedy Jr. was planning a significant career shift. According to the president, Kennedy Jr. was going to sell the publication and dive headfirst into politics. “He was going to run for the Senate,” President Trump stated, adding, “He told me, and nobody would have beaten him.”

The thought of JFK Jr being the POTUS is surely something we couldn’t have imagined in the 90s

President Trump also recalled some more personal moments, sharing memories of Kennedy Jr. and his wife, Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, staying at his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida. “They would go down to Mar-a-Lago together, and they had a very interesting relationship,” President Trump observed.

He described them as a couple who would “bicker together, in other words have little fights, and then they would make up and start kissing wildly. It was one of those relationships, and you never know how those relationships are going to turn out,” he added.

These insights from President Trump come at a time when there’s a renewed public fascination with the couple. The recent release of FX’s fictional series, “Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette,” has certainly brought their story back into the spotlight. The lives of Kennedy Jr. and Bessette Kennedy, tragically, came to an end in a plane crash off the coast of Martha’s Vineyard in 1999. President Trump called their deaths “tragic” during his interview.

Jack Schlossberg, the grandson of President John F. Kennedy, ran for Congress in New York’s 12th District in November last year.
