‘I’m going to throw you down the reactor shaft’: Alex Jones just went full Star Wars on Trump live on air, and it only gets wilder from there

The empire strikes back. So does Alex Jones.

Alex Jones has publicly turned against President Donald Trump, declaring what can only be described as an all-out war against the president. This comes as a major fallout grows between Trump and several of his most prominent former supporters, largely over the ongoing US-Israeli military conflict with Iran.

Jones used his broadcast to issue a direct warning to the president. He made clear he is no longer holding back, telling his listeners he is ready to go after Trump “viciously” if the president keeps attacking him. According to NBC News, he told his audience, “I’m going to show him how the cow ate the cabbage” if provoked further.

Jones also invoked Star Wars to describe his intentions, warning that he is going to “politically throw the president down the reactor shaft in like two seconds” if the conflict continues. He said he feels betrayed after years of supporting Trump, whom he once described as the lesser of two evils, and that he has “gone through hell” to back the president, only to be met with open hostility in return.

The fallout stems from Trump publicly attacking his former allies over Iran criticism

The feud traces back to a post Trump made on social media, where he called out four conservative figures by name: Alex Jones, Candace Owens, Tucker Carlson, and Megyn Kelly. Trump called them “losers” and accused them of trying to use the MAGA movement for relevance. He labeled them “stupid people” and claimed he could win them over whenever he wanted, but said he was too busy with world affairs to return their calls.

Trump’s post was a direct response to these figures criticizing the joint US-Israeli war against Iran and accusing the president of being too heavily influenced by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Tucker Carlson was particularly vocal, calling Trump’s threats to bomb civilian infrastructure “a war crime.” Carlson added that while he still loves the president, he also feels sorry for him.

It is worth noting that Trump’s approach to Iran has drawn scrutiny on multiple fronts, including how Trump’s Iran ceasefire was followed by new tariff threats against the country’s arms suppliers. Candace Owens went further, suggesting it might be time to “put Grandpa up in a home,” signaling just how badly the relationship has broken down. This is striking given that all four of these figures played a role in helping Trump court social media influencers and podcasters during his 2024 campaign.

Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has also entered the dispute. She said that while she fought alongside these commentators to help get Trump elected, she believes “the president has changed, not them.” Greene had previously broken with Trump over government files linked to Jeffrey Epstein, and she now claims the president has “gone mad” as he wages war against Iran, calling it a broken campaign promise, reports BBC.

The broader situation is growing more complicated as the administration prepares for possible renewed conflict with Iran. A two-week ceasefire is currently in place, but Trump has indicated the military is rearming and resupplying.

Analysts have also been paying close attention to the Pentagon’s quiet expansion of military bases abroad as the administration navigates its foreign policy moves. With Vice President JD Vance heading to Pakistan for negotiations, the stakes are extremely high, and if talks fail, opposition from within Trump’s own party is likely to grow even louder.

As for Jones, he has maintained that he is not looking for a fight, but says he is fully prepared for one. He questioned whether Trump thinks he is “intimidated by his hit teams,” and stated plainly that the president has “God to deal with.” What started as political disagreement has quickly turned into one of the most intense public breaks within the MAGA movement, and there is no sign of it cooling down anytime soon.
