Three days away from the Xbox One, and Ryse: Son of Rome’s launch, Microsoft have posted a new trailer. This one is the official ‘Launch Trailer’ for Ryse, which features the following synopsis in the YouTube description;

Lead legions on Marius’ path of vengeance, fighting throughout the Roman Empire. Epic adventure, groundbreaking multiplayer, and breathtaking visuals all unite behind Xbox One’s legendary launch title, Ryse: Son of Rome.

Sounds good, right? Looks good too, doesn’t it? Well, it looks as though there might be a cloud on the horizon. One that could be big enough to make the trailer nothing but a slim silver lining.

Microsoft have put an embargo on Ryse: Son of Rome reviews until Thursday. What does this mean? Well, anyone hoping to read or watch a review of Crytek’s Xbox One exclusive will be left wanting until the day before the Xbox One is released. It seems odd that they would prevent these reviews from being released, especially as Microsoft has already allowed reviews for Dead Rising 3 and Killer Instinct. These have both received fairly positive reviews so far, and a collation of their scores can be found by clicking the respective links to them, but is Microsoft hiding something?

What do you think? Are Microsoft hiding reviews to stop people cancelling pre-orders? Or are they just keeping some suspense, maybe even keeping the best for last? Give your opinion below in the comments.
