The PSN seems to having issues for some people as a number of them have not been able to connect to the servers today.
There are some comments on Twitter right now of people finding it very hard to connect to the PSN servers today. As of this moment, it doesn’t appear to be a widespread issue. Only some gamers are experiencing some trouble logging into the PSN. I managed to log in to the PSN with my PS Vita just fine.
The Ask PlayStation Twitter page sent the following message:
“We’re aware some of you are having issues connecting to the PSN. We are investigating. Thanks for your patience”
It doesn’t look like this is the work of the hacker group The Lizard Squad today. Those guys didn’t mention taking down the PSN. They only took down servers for Destiny, Call of Duty: Ghosts and a number of EA games yesterday. The last time they took down the PSN, the service was down worldwide.
Again, the issues right now seem to be small as only some (but not everyone) is having a hard time connecting to the PSN servers today. It’s possible the PSN servers are okay by the time you read this.
