Evolution Studios is currently scrambling to fix Driveclub for its players, who’ve seen numerous problems with the game since last week’s launch. Most of the issues with this game revolve around server connectivity problems. Updates have been issued for the game, to no avail.

Apparently Sony and Evolution are considering compensating those who purchased Driveclub. When asked on Twitter whether there would be any sort of compensation, the game’s director Paul Rustchynsky said “We’re considering all of our options right now.”

It’s purely down to the server code having some bugs

So just what is the problem with Driveclub? And why can’t Evolution Studios get it working properly? According to Rustchnsky, heading into launch the team was confident due to testing it had previously done on the game. “We’ve got no limits to the amount of servers of the quality of hardware; it’s purely down to the server code having some bugs.”

Driveclub players can expect more updates in the future as Evolution attempts to make the game fully functional. Rustchynsky says another update should be heading out to the PS4 later today. The Driveclub Director has not mentioned when PS Plus subscribers should expect their free version of the game.
