New Warhammer RTS Game Announced

Focus Home Interactive and Tindalos Interactive have announced a partnership to create an adaptation of Games Workshop’s well known Warhammer franchise into a space-infused RTS title.

The real-time strategy game will be called, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada and will allow players to take control of a battle fleet of either Imperial, Chaos, Eldar or Orc forces to compete in deadly space battles. Developed on the Unreal Engine 4, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada looks to impress fans with a wide array of tools. Players will be able to manage a range of different ships and the mechanics of each one including their weaponry, sub-systems, defenses and more. Each choice affecting the abilities available from ship to ship.

Admirals and surviving crew of each space battle will progress and level up with experience.  This will allow them to move up the ranks and improve their battle-readiness for future fights that will only grow as player’s progress.

Fans of Warhammer or RTS game should be excited for this PC title. No word on when the game might release but expect news from it soon, or at the very least a release sometime this year. The last Warhammer based game I remember enjoying was Space Marine and that was quite some time ago. It will be good to finally get a fitting Warhammer title again.
