World Of Warcraft has been a great time for fans since the release of the Warlords Of Draenor expansion, but many wanted more and that is just what Blizzard intends to give with this next update. It adds new features and addresses current issues as well and will be available February 24th.

Patch 6.1 addresses many professions as well as all of the classes in the game, looking to balance them all. Some brand new features coming in the update is the ability to easily crop and tweet while on World Of Warcraft via Twitter integration. It is an interesting feature and one that I hope makes it to all of Blizzard’s titles. The Blood Elf model is going to be updated after much anticipation from fans. The patch will also add colorblind support and improve graphical features within World Of Warcraft such as lighting and anti-aliasing. The new Heirloom system is the last of the major new features which is being implemented with 6.1 and will allow players to manage Heirloom items across their account in a much simpler way.

One interesting addition can be found in the patch notes regarding those who no longer have an active subscription.

  • Accounts with an inactive subscription are now able to log in with the same restrictions that Starter Edition accounts have with the additional perk of being able to join guilds that characters on the account already are a member of.

At least fans will still be able to play, albeit in a limited capacity. The patch looks to bring a new adventure to fans as well, in the way of new garrison features and quests. Prepare for a hefty World Of Warcraft patch which releases on February 24th.
