Series creator Scott Cawthon continues to tease his upcoming horror game, Five Nights at Freddy’s 4. Today he has changed the front page image for the Scott Games website, showing a brand new teaser image that helps tie to previous releases, while taking things in a slightly darker, and more terrifying territory.
The purple bow-tie makes a return from the last teaser image, showing the actual body of the creature wearing it this time, who fans have speculated is the infamous Fredbear, though this could really be any new creature. As some pointed out, the last teaser featured a reflection of some sharp teeth, which seem to be from this creature.
Those teeth weren’t alone though as the new image shows another mouth on the creature’s stomach. This looks like an even more terrible thing for players to avoid and have nightmares about. However, no hints at the possible prequel story that involves the number 87 this time around.
Once again though there’s some hidden text within the image, this time seemingly saying “or was it me”, though there are some more hidden elements within the picture if you are dedicated enough to figure them all out. Some have found text behind the top teeth, and possibly another scary creature hiding behind him.
Five Nights at Freddy’s 4 hits PC on October 31st, 2015. Keep checking back for updates as Cawthon seems dedicated to releasing steady teaser images.
