[RUMOR] Evil Within Game of the Year Edition Outed By Amazon France

Amazon France has been on somewhat of a roll today. Following a listing of the Watch Dogs Complete Edition, a similar post was spotted online for Shinji Mikami’s The Evil Within.

If Amazon France are to be believed, The Evil Within Game of the Year Edition is scheduled to release on September 18th, and will cost €39.99. It is hoped that the Game of the Year edition will include all pieces of DLC for The Evil Within:

• The Fighting Chance Pack
• The Assignment
• The Consequence
• The Executioner

Although not an improbable scenario, the news must be taken with a pinch of salt, as Amazon France’s record isn’t exactly stellar. They’ve recently listed incorrect release dates for Rise of the Tomb Raider and Forza 6, as well as posting a PlayStation and PS Vita bundle that, sadly, never materialized.

The Evil Within released last October for PS4, Xbox One and PC, and marked Shinji Mikami’s return to the survival horror genre, following his departure from the triumphant Resident Evil series. Although The Evil Within didn’t exactly resurrect the genre, we still thought it had plenty to offer.
