It sounds like Sony is not done with the PS4 remasters. The company expects more will be on the way.
Push Square had a chance to speak with SCEE boss Jim Ryan at Gamescom 2015. Ryan says the possibility of more PS4 Remasters being made is very likely.
The reason Ryan gives is what Sony has been saying for weeks now. The company feels remasters are beneficial for PS4 owners that didn’t own a PS3. After all, many PS4 owners came from the Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360 platforms.
Sony has already released several PS4 remasters. The first big release was The Last of Us Remastered. There was also God of War 3 and Journey last month. In October, we will also see Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection too. Quantic Dream is also releasing Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls on top of that. Let’s not forget about Tearaway as well.
This doesn’t include re-releases from third party publishers. Dishonored: Definitive Edition is out later this month, and we’ve already seen Grand Theft Auto V, Dark Souls II, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD and more.
If more remasters are coming, there are a few other PS3/PS Vita games that could get on the PS4 eventually. One such request has been Gravity Rush which was originally released on the PS Vita. They could also release some Killzone and Infamous games too.
