The New Xbox One Experience was announced earlier this year as the next great evolution for the Microsoft console. While announced as coming in November, recent rumors surfaced came out that it may be delayed to December, but now one of the top guys involved with Xbox has weighed in on the topic.
The rumor that the New Xbox One Experience might be delayed to December would not have been a huge surprise with how much they are adding, so it was seen as a possibly when the rumors came about the other day.
As a result, someone on Twitter asked the Xbox Director of Program Management, Mike Ybarra, if the update has been delayed. He then responded to this inquiry by saying:
“@TheMicrosofty @DelochoDioses Nope. No idea where this is coming from. It’ll be ready when it’s ready.”
The nope seems to deny that the update is delayed, but the fact that he adds “it’ll be ready when it’s ready” after seems a little strange, so maybe it’s looking like a very late November release.
This update is bringing a lot to the table, including the much awaited backwards compatibility, so hopefully it will arrive as soon as possible. Also keep an eye out for invitations if you are part of the Xbox One Preview Program, as those are gradually going out.
