Sony must be very happy now as PS4 sales are now over 30 million units worldwide.

As reported by The Verge, Sony announced that over 30.2 million PS4 consoles have been “sold-through” worldwide. This figure is as of November 22nd, 2015.

The PS4 console released in North America first on November 15th, 2013. This means it took just a little over two years for the console to sell over 30 million units worldwide.

The console is one of the fastest selling in history. It is the fastest selling PlayStation console in many countries around the world and continues to remain ahead of the competition.

Some people are speculating that the console could outsell the PS2 is if this pace keeps up. This might be hard to achieve, but sales have yet to slow down so far.

2016 might be an even bigger year for PS4 as many hot exclusives will be released. This includes the likes of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Gran Turismo Sport and more.

2016 will also see the release of the PlayStation VR headset too. If VR gaming becomes popular, this is another incentive for people to buy a PS4 next year.
