Metal Gear Online is finally coming to the PC as the open beta will launch on January 12th.
Metal Gear Online community manager Robert Allen Peeler announced the PC open beta via Steam. It has been a long time coming since the console versions have been playing the online mode since last October.
He posted: “Since the delay announcement last year, MGO fans have been waiting patiently for the latest update for their favorite online multiplayer to arrive on their favorite platform, the indomitable PC! A strong man doesn’t need to read the future. He simply needs to wait for MGO on PC.
That day is nearly here, as recently announced via the Konami Twitch Channel[www.twitch.tv], players can opt in and download the Beta release of Metal Gear Online January 12th, 10PM P”
He said there is a small chance the target launch time could slip an hour or two. This all depends when they can implement the latest update. Nonetheless, PC owners can start playing MGO real soon.
An update should be coming 24 hours (as of time of writing) from now. Hopefully the servers hold up when Metal Gear Online goes live for PC owners.
