While Destiny 2 may not be coming later this year, Bungie is steadily providing more updates for the original game. The next big update is coming in April and Bungie is already teasing some of what we can expect in that update.
According to a new update on the Bungie blog through their “This Week At Bungie” feature, Destiny update 2.2.0 will arrive next month on April 12, which they said they are now just referring to as the simply the “April Update.”
While still pretty vague, Bungie has revealed that the April update will have new PVE challenges, new and updated gear, a new quest, increase max light levels and rewards, as well as both Sandbox and Crucible updates.
There is also more to come as well, but that has not been announced yet. Bungie will be holding some upcoming Twitch streams that will be held each week up until the release of the update, so it’s likely we’ll hear plenty more in those.
Bungie is teasing that this new update will have something for every type of Guardian, though it appears not everyone with Destiny will be getting this update for free. Those who own The Taken King will get this update at no charge at least, but the way the blog is worded makes it sound like others will have to pay something for it.
