Mortal Kombat X has been out almost a year now and has had quite a bit of content in the time since, including what is now eight new characters as of the release of the Kombat Pack 2. Whether buying Mortal Kombat XL, Kombat Pack 2, or the individual release of the new fighter Triborg, you will get the usual three variations, but there is another hidden that you can access.

Triborg is one of the more intriguing additions to Mortal Kombat X, as he combines three characters we know into one fighter, Cyrax, Sektor, and Smoke. Each one of these has their own variation with a distinct moveset, which gives more than the usual variations that we have in the game.

However, while the name Triborg would lead you to believe there are only three cyborgs involved, there is actually a fourth one as well that you can access very easily.

Cyber Sub-Zero was introduced in Mortal Kombat 9 as a surprise twist in the game’s story, where Sub-Zero got turned into a cyborg instead of Smoke. Many were disappointed when he seemingly was left out of Triborg, but Cyber Sub-Zero actually has his own completely separate variation with a full moveset and design.

To access the Cyber Sub-Zero variation, move the cursor onto Triborg and press the selection button once. When you have the option to choose between the normal three variations, instead hit up on the D-pad twice and then Triangle on PS4, which should be Y on Xbox One. As soon as you do this, it should move to the Cyber Sub-Zero variation, which you can then select and use in battle.
