It’s been several months since any significant apps or games have made use of the Xbox One Kinect, however Microsoft promises that stuff is on the way soon which may make owners of the device happy.
As reported by DualShockers, Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb mentioned a lot of things that Microsoft has planned for the Xbox One console in the future at PAX East over the weekend. The Kinect device has not been forgotten as the team are working on a few things.
Nelson said that the team are working on some “cool stuff” for the Kinect and this includes Cortana among other things. It wasn’t specified if any more games will utilize Kinect, so we’ll have to see what Microsoft says later this year.
Speaking of later this year, Nelson did hype up E3 2016 and said the company has “some cool stuff” (he said it again) planned. Microsoft is sure to reveal a lot of big things as lots of rumors suggest we may see an upgraded Xbox One or a slimmer version of it.
Lastly, he said that Microsoft is continuing to improve on the app that allows users to stream Xbox One games onto their PCs. They are trying out a way so that you can stream via the internet, although he says this feature may be hard for some people to use as bandwidth speed could be a problem.
