Nintendo has not announced the release date for the NX just yet, but it has revealed the month on we will see it. Unlike its other consoles, the NX will be released worldwide simultaneously.
Nintendo released a PDF to announce its financial earnings to investors. In the report it says: “For our dedicated video game platform business, Nintendo is currently developing a gaming platform codenamed “NX” with a brand new concept. NX will be launched in March 2017 globally”
This is not a rumor nor is it a random date made by a retailer. This is an actual sentence made by an official report by Nintendo so this is pretty big news. The report also rules out that the console will be coming out in 2016.
March 2017 might be a good window for Nintendo to exploit. Fall 2016 will be a little too crowded for gamers as Sony is rumored to release the PS4K and there is also the PlayStation VR. Not to mention the end of the year can be hectic as people are spending lots of money on other things too for the holidays.
We may get an exact release date for the console very soon. It will be cool to see what type of launch titles that the NX will have as well. Many people want to see a legit Metroid sequel and more.
