At the PlayStation Experience, Capcom had some big announcements. The new Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite video game was revealed as well as a second season of Street Fighter V.
First, let’s talk about Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite. This is going to be the fourth game in the series and it will be out in 2017. Aside from the PS4, the first trailer also showed that it’s coming to Xbox One and Steam as well.
As for the characters, four people were shown. On the Marvel side, you have Iron Man and Captain Marvel. Capcom has the ever reliable Ryu and he’s with Mega Man. It’s great to see Mega Man back as Capcom has forgotten the character in recent years.
Marvel vs. Capcom 3 came out back in 2011 so it’s been several years for people to play another sequel. It’s cool to see that Marvel is returning to the console/PC gaming space. They were occupying the mobile market for far too long.
Hopefully more new characters will be announced very soon. Marvel is not limited to only a few characters like in the movie world. We can expect to see X-Men and other characters in the video game.
Speaking of new characters, Street Fighter V has been announced to have a second Season Pass. This second Season Pass will include six new characters for you to be.
The first character that will be available is Akuma. Akuma will be playable on December 20th, 2016. The remaining characters are supposed to be brand-new, so we may not know who they are. All will be revealed to us in 2017 when the other characters will be released.
Capcom and Sony went all-out in order to impress their fans at PlayStation Experience. Â 2017 is looking like a very exciting year for video game releases.
