Two more characters have been revealed for Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite. This takes the roster count up to six with more to be announced very soon.

ESPN showed more of the Capcom Cup and during the broadcast, it was announced that Morrigan and Captain America will be featured in Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite as playable characters.

Morrigan is the attractive lady from Capcom’s Darkstalkers series. She has pretty much been a favorite and is featured in the other Marvel vs. Capcom video games in the past.

There’s not much else I can about about Captain America. The Marvel character is pretty much a household name thanks to the character’s rise in popularity due to the Hollywood movies. Chris Evans has done a great job of bringing the character to life.

These two characters join the already announced roster of Ryu, Mega Man, Captain Marvel and Iron Man. It’s interesting that Marvel is sticking to announcing its MCU characters first. This is done in purpose in order to hype up the Hollywood movies.

It will be interesting to see how much promotion X-Men characters get if they’re added into Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite. X-Men characters are allowed to be in the game, but a weird deal with 20th Century Fox means that they cannot appear in MCU films.

Alongside the new characters, a new gameplay trailer has been released for the game. It shows off a new gimmick that makes use of the Infinity Stones to give characters more power.

The Infinity Stones have featured in the MCU movies, although they won’t be prominently used until Avengers: Infinity War comes out in 2018. Anyway, Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite releases sometime in 2017 for the PC, Xbox One and PS4 platforms. No Nintendo Switch version has been announced as of yet.
