Injustice 2 provided us with a number of reveals this past week, including plenty of new character announcements. Over the last month or so, NetherRealm has been holding a very limited closed beta for those that were lucky enough to get a code. There was no previously set end date for this beta, but now it has been revealed that it is ending soon.
The closed beta for Injustice 2 has been near impossible to get a code for, with very few of those that signed up getting one, along with Ed Boon giving away some here and there on Twitter. People have been hoping for more waves of codes to go out, but those that haven’t gotten in yet are out of luck, unless they have another beta before release.
As posted to the Injustice 2Â section of the official WB Games forums, the closed beta for Injustice 2 is set to end in only a few days from now.
“Thanks to all of our players who took part in the Injustice 2 online beta. We received a great deal of data that will help make the launch of our online modes the best they can be. Now it is time to get busy implementing the changes. That means unfortunately we will be turning off the beta on Tuesday February 21st . Get your games in this weekend! See you May 16Th”
Unlike something such as Overwatch that seemed to have a continuous beta going on, Injustice 2’s was never going to stay up until the game comes out. This beta was able to provide NetherRealm some good information to improve the netcode for launch, as that plagued the last game horribly.
We’ve already given our thoughts on the closed beta in our time with it, so if you weren’t able to participate and want some impressions, makes sure to check that out. In the meantime, keep an eye out for more reveals to come soon and look for Injustice 2 to release on May 16 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
