For those who use monitors or televisions to game on their Xbox One, an upcoming update in May will add support for 120Hz refresh rate. Microsoft recently added 1440p support, automatic low latency mode, and variable refresh rate earlier this month.
In display and sound options, Xbox One owners will be able to select either 60Hz or 120Hz refresh rates.  So why does support for high refresh rates matter? The refresh rate for a monitor or television can impact gaming in that it can impact input lag. 120Hz support would ultimately halve the visible input lag on the console if your monitor or television supports it.
Also in May’s Xbox One Update, games and apps will be able to be grouped into multiple collections within the My Games & Apps section of the dashboard. Those who capture, edit, and upload game clips on their Xbox One will have a new feature that allows them to trim clips without the need to open in Upload Studio.
In addition to these features, improved family settings is getting a details page where parents can identify all of the family settings on the console. As usual, these features will be heading out to the Xbox Insider program first and sound like they’ll be released in a staggered fashion. For more details on these May Xbox One Dashboard updates head to the Xbox Blog.
