FromSoftware has finally revealed the official release date for their upcoming action title Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Players will get their hands on the next hardcore game from the makers of Dark Souls on March 22nd, 2019. Previously the game had just been announced for release in 2019, so it’s great to see it arrive so early in the year, though this fits with a lot of the speculation surrounding the eventual release date for Sekiro.

There will also be a huge Collector’s Edition for the game, offering a statue and other collectibles from the game.

While we’ve seen and played very little of Sekiro, we’re already very excited for the game which looks to follow in Dark Souls’ footsteps while trodding its own path in a number of ways. As we found out during a behind closed doors walkthrough at E3 2018, the game will be tough but players will find themselves much more capable than in previous From titles.

“Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is shaping up to be a true FromSoftware title, with all the high expectations that come with it,” reads our preview. “The action was fast and fluid, but also stable in that way that only From games can be. Fighting was tactical and enemies were both massive and powerful. Fans of Dark Souls will certainly find things to love here, but those who haven’t been wowed by those games might as well.”
