It’s almost the start of a new month, which means it’s time for Sony to offer a new set of games to offer to PlayStation Plus subscribers with a particularly strong focus on the PS3 lineup.
Specifically, PS Plus subscribers will be able to get their hands on the magnificient Zone of Enders HD Collection, a compilation of the mech-action games produced by Metal Gear’s Hideo Kojima in a single package, along with Harmonix’s rhythm game Amplitude.
Meanwhile, those looking for additions to their library on the PS Vita will be able to download Fallen Legion: Flames of Rebellion, a hand-drawn action RPG by YummyYummyTummy, Inc., and Surprise Attack Pty’s sci-fi platformer Super Mutant Alien Assault.
Considering that Sony intends to phase out PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita games from this program come Feb. 2019, it’s not all too surprising the two platforms are getting such offerings at this point in time. Unfortunately, this quality doesn’t quite extend to the PlayStation 4 lineup which is…lacking, comparatively at least.
There’s Steep, Ubisoft’s 2016 open-world winter sports game which got an Olympics-themed expansion last December, along with 505 Game’s Portal Knights — a sandbox-style action RPG that can either be played alone or with friends. It’s not the worst, but there’s been better.
This promotion will be available starting Jan. 1, 2019 and last through Feb. 5, 2019.
