The latest entry in the SoulCalibur series, SoulCalibur VI, came out last year, but has been getting DLC in the form of new character customization parts and new playable characters since its launch. Today (February 16), the next DLC character for the game has been revealed.
Bandai Namco recently revealed that the character Amy will be the next DLC character in SoulCalibur VI. Amy was first introduced into the series as Raphael’s foster daughter in SoulCalibur II, but she didn’t become a playable character herself until SoulCalibur III. Like her foster father, Amy fights with a rapier sword. Amy returned as a playable character in SoulCalibur IV, but disappeared from the roster (along with a number of series mainstays) in SoulCalibur V. Some fans were upset when she also wasn’t revealed to be a playable character on SoulCalibur VI‘s roster, but now these fans can rest easy knowing that she’ll at least be available as DLC.
In Amy’s character trailer, it was revealed that she will have a story in SoulCalibur VI‘s Soul Chronicle mode, as well as pieces of her outfit available in the game’s character creation mode. No release date or window was given for when Amy will become available, though the character trailer promises that she is “coming soon.”
