Gotham Knights is Making its First Appearance Since Delay at DC FanDome

WB Games MontrĂ©al’s Gotham Knights has just today teased its first appearance since its delay at the upcoming DC Fandome, streaming this October 16, 2021.

The tweet served as only a confirmation that the game will in fact be present at DC FanDome, however, there is nothing else promised so far. What we can expect is at least another trailer that should announce a rough release date for the game.

It is worth mentioning that this month, August 2021, marks a year since the original announcement of Gotham Knights at 2020’s DC FanDome event. Since then, the game has been delayed last March from 2021 to 2022 with no official release window set.

“We are giving the game more time to deliver the best possible experience for players. Thank you to our amazing fans for your tremendous support of Gotham Knights. We look forward to showcasing more of the game in the upcoming months” said WB Games MontrĂ©al of the game’s delay news.

Gotham Knight’s announcement trailer showed off the grim reality players will be taking place in. Both Batman and Jim Gordan are dead, the GCPD is corrupt, Gotham is up for grabs by every villain in the city, and our team of heroes -Batgirl, Nightwing, Robin, and Red Hood- have to band together to save their home, this time without the help of Bruce Wayne.

DC FanDome is Set To Be a Sensation

Another DC game that could be making an apperance in this year’s DC FanDome is Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad game that has been announced along with Gotham Knights in last year’s DC FanDome, and was set for release in 2022. It has been speculated around the internet that the game will be delayed at least another year since it’s highly unlikely for DC to release two AAA games in the same year simultaneously.

Other appearances at DC FanDome that fans are hyped for so far include several announced DC films. Fans should expect at least some updates regarding high-profile movies like The Batman, Black Adam, Aquaman 2, and The Flash movies.

The Batman is done filming, so we should expect a new trailer as it is set to release in March 2022. Black Adam is done filming, so some sort of update or a teaser trailer should be expected. Finally, The Flash is currently still filming, with Michael Keaton’s Batman scenes being all done, and Ben Affleck was reportedly filming at the beginning of August.

DC FanDome is streaming on DCFanDome.com on October 16, 2021, at 10 AM PT.
