Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania How to Unlock All Special Modes

Recommended Videos

Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania sports a healthy amount of modes ranging from the single player picks to the multiplayer party games. It has a lot to do depending on how much you want to play. By the time you reach the midway point of the story mode, you should have amassed a large amount of points.

There are unlockable modes for people who put in just a bit more time into the game.

How to unlock all the special modes in Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania

In order to unlock the other modes, you’ll have to dish out a pretty penny. And no, this isn’t a microtransaction or anything. You need to play for a while since you need to rack up a lot of points. There are five different special modes to unlock, with each costing 10,000 points. For Golden Banana Mode, it’ll cost you 20,000.

Upon unlocking these modes, you can access them in the Main Game option in the main menu of Banana Mania. They can be replayed too. Here are the game modes.

Golden Banana Mode

This mode requires players to collect all of the bananas in a set of ten stages.

Dark Banana Mode

This mode actually discourages you from collecting things. Avoid the Dark Bananas and reach the end.

Original Stage Mode

This mode unlocks an additional 23 stages from the first two games. They’ll be playable just as they were back in the day, so the difficulty is preserved. The levels will also look as they did as well, with the checker patterns.

DX Mode

This is a playlist of 46 stages from Super Monkey Ball Deluxe. Like the main game, you can jump in and out whenever you want. Of course, the levels will grow increasingly harder the further you progress. It’s an interesting mix of themes as you play through it, too.

Reverse Mode

Play stages with the goal posts switched around. This is a grab bag playlist of 10 random stages from the base game.
