Ancestors: Humankind Odyssey – How to Change Clan Member Names

In Ancestors: Humankind Odyssey your goal is grow your clan size, evolve, and survive over time.  During that time you’ll bring new clan members into the world through birth and you’ll find them out in the wild.  In any case, they are assigned names by the game, but you can change those names if you want.  This guide will explain how you can change the names of the primates in your clan.

Any hominid in your clan can be renamed by using the Analyze feature while you are around them.  You’ll need to get close to the one you want to rename and then press the Y button to analyze them.  This will bring up a user interface display that shows their name, their parents, whether they are single or already coupled with someone else and whether they are fertile (if female).  On the left hand side of the screen you can see the things you can do while in this analysis menu.  One of the things at the bottom of the list is to rename them.

Pressing the Y Button again will bring up the rename screen where you can then press Y again to randomly generate a new name.  After the new name rolls you can either confirm the change with the A button or cancel it with the B button.
