Back 4 Blood is the epic revival of the Left 4 Dead games of old and it’s easily one of the best multiplayer zombie shooters to come out in some time. The throwback action mixed with the modern gunplay and impressive graphics gives Back 4 Blood a chance to be the surprise hit of the fall. In order to survive the countless hordes of zombies that will be coming for you though, you’re going to need some great strategy between you and your teammates and you’re more importantly going to need to know how to heal. Here’s everything to know about how to heal in Back 4 Blood.
How to Heal in Back 4 Blood
Healing in Back 4 Blood is a pretty involved affair as you’re not going to simply be handed items to heal with. In order to heal, you have to scavenge the levels for items that can heal you. These include Medkits, Pain Pills, and Bandages as well. Once you have acquired these items, it still isn’t as simple as just pressing a button as different healing items take a different amount of time to recover as well as working with various levels of effectiveness.
The Medkit for example is the big prize and restores most of your health, but in turn, it also takes the longest to apply. That means if you’re in a pinch and need quick health, the Medkit likely isn’t the best choice as you can easily be mauled while applying it. If you are in full health, but your comrade is in desperate need, you can actually heal them yourself. Once you have the healing item you want, you can walk up to your teammate and apply it by pressing either L2 for Playstation, LT for Xbox, or right-clicking on PC.
Figuring out when and where to apply your healing items is part of the juggling act that Back 4 Blood presents you at all times. Usually, you don’t want two people healing at once as an overwhelming zombie horde might be just around the corner. The quickest healing options are usually the best ones in the middle of a fight, while the Medkit is best reserved for when you have a rare moment of calm in the game.
Back 4 Blood is a crazy good time with friends that gives you little to think about besides blasting the next zombie you see and the simplicity works with the gameplay perfectly and it’s coming out just in time for the Halloween season.
