When Does the Open Beta Begin
The open beta for Battlefield 2042 starts on different dates depending on a variety of factors. If you pre-ordered Battlefield 2042 or are subscribed to the EA Play service, you will be able to access the open beta from the 6th of October at 3 AM Eastern Time. This offer is also open to Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.
For all other players, the open beta will be available from the 8th of October at 3 AM Eastern Time. Fortunately, EA has provided a handy map that outlines the open beta starting times for different time zones around the world.
When Does the Open Beta End
The open beta for Battlefield 2042 ends on the 10th of October 2021 at 3 AM Eastern Time for all players. This should give you enough time to get a good feel of the game before it officially launches on the 19th of November 2021.
What Does the Open Beta Feature
The open beta features Conquest Mode where up to 128 players battle for the control of key objectives around the map known as Sectors. The Orbital map is used in the open beta. However, at launch, the game will feature 13 maps. During the open beta, you will have the opportunity to play as four specialists. They are: Casper (Recon), Mackay (Assault), Falck (Support), and Boris (Engineer). Each of the specialists has their own strengths and change the dynamics of the game in a unique way.
Battlefield 2042 launches on the 19th of November 2021 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
