Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is the brand new remake of the original game for PlayStation, with not only all of the content that was in that version, but also some tweaks along the way as well. Adventure Mode was one of the best parts of the release on PS1, but this time there are two different ways you can play it. This guide will explain how you can switch between Adventure Mode’s Nitro Fueled and Classic styles.

How To Access Classic Adventure Mode In Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled

There are four different save/load slots in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled that you can utilize if you want to give both Adventure Mode styles a try. To select which one you want to play, you must first start up the game and select Adventure from the main menu. From there, select a slot you want and it will advance you to the next screen.

From here, you must scroll down to Mode, which is defaulted to Nitro Fueled. Nitro Fueled is the new way to play Adventure Mode in this remake, which allows you to play with any character, kart, and item you have unlocked in the game. You can even switch between them during the game as well. In addition, you can select the difficulty level between Easy, Medium, and Hard, with Medium being the default option.

If you want to play Adventure exactly as you remember it in the original, you instead must scroll over to the Classic option instead. This one limits you to one character with no customization or difficulty options. There is the option to actually select the specific character though from the eight available in the original game. You can still unlock rewards too, so don’t worry about losing out on that even with the limited version found in Classic.
