While there definitely aren’t as many boss fights in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided compared to Human Revolution, the game nevertheless ends with an epic battle that can be very tricky depending on how you tackle it. While we won’t spoil who the final boss is just in case you haven’t gotten that far, with this guide we’re going to give you the best tips to emerge the victor from this battle.

The room that you will be battling the boss in is pretty large, with multiple drones and turrets scattered around to make things more difficult for you. While taking down some of the boss’ minions may help to give you some more opportunities at getting shots in on the boss, overall it’s recommended to just ignore most of them and focus your fire on the boss. While this would be very hard if you stayed out in the open, if you use the following method then you will be safe from nearly all of the incoming enemy attacks while also being able to fire back.

What you want to do immediately once the battle begins is to duck into the vents located along the north east wall of the room. This ventilation shaft will contain 3 openings, and the idea is that you want to bounce around between these 3 openings and fire through the openings at the boss. You ideally want to find the right angles so that you can quickly get a clear shot at the boss and then pop back into cover to avoid the incoming enemy attacks, while also healing if you did take damage.

While you can take your pick of what weapon you want to use during this fight, we had the best results with the shotgun. The boss will oftentimes get very close to the vents, which will allow you to deal some quick and big damage with the shotgun before popping back into cover. This isn’t mandatory, however, and you can just use whatever your most powerful weapons are.

If you find yourself in a situation of running out of ammo entirely, all is not lost. The boss room is filled with lots of weapons and ammo, though the best spot to find some is along the east side of the room. There’s plenty of weapons and ammo laying around that area if you need to replenish your supply, and there’s also more in the middle of the room. However, going into the middle of the room will make you a sitting duck to enemy fire coming from all angles, so if you absolutely have to do that then make sure you activate your Glass-Shield Cloaking augmentation and get in and out as fast as possible.

While the boss can take some serious damage from you, as long as you stay the course you’ll win before too long. Once the fight is over be sure to search every nook and cranny of the room, because there’s lots of items waiting for you to pick up. Seeing as you’ve just taken down the final boss, you’ve earned it!
