Dr. Mario World is the new twist on the long running Dr. Mario franchise. While Dr. Mario games are typically designed with a solo player in mind first, Dr. Mario World also has a multiplayer component that lets you play against random people or even against friends online. This guide will explain when and how you can try out your skills against other players.
How to Play With Friends In Dr. Mario World
The first 20 levels in Dr. Mario World serve as sort of a tutorial to teach you how to play the game before taking the training wheels off. This includes infinite lives and such up to that point. Once you hit level 21 though, you have much more that you can do in the game, including Versus Mode.
At this point, you will notice an icon to the bottom right of the main map that is a giant trophy that says Versus under it. Click on this and you will be taken to a new screen with a few different options. First of all, you can just click Versus on this screen and play against a random player from around the world. Playing against friends requires a few more steps however.
Next, you have to have friends registered in the game to actually play against them, so click Friends on the bottom of the screen. Here, you want to click to link your Facebook account and then you can select Add Friends below that. This will pull up other friends with the game that you can add. Also, you can just send an invitation link here to people as well. You can also look at Friend Requests here and accept them.
After you have friends on your list, you can return to the previous page and select Vs. Friends to take on your friends at Dr. Mario World. This may take a few steps, but you really only have to do the extra steps the first time around and it will be super easy in the future.
