In Khrumbul-Dun you will need to find different metals. You’ll start out with copper, iron, and silver, but you’ll need to find gold to power-up the Golem all the way. The gold in Dragon Quest Builders 2 is hidden deep in the mines and you’ll need to do a few things to get to this point.
First you’ll need to piece together a magical item called the Echo Flute. The flute will actually become an item that you can use to pinpoint the direction of gold and other valuable items. The quest for the Echo Flute will be revealed to you naturally throughout the course of your time in Khrumbul-Dun. You’ll get both pieces by continuing to do the character quests and leveling up Goldirox.
Once you have the flute, you actually have to play it to find the gold in the mines. You need to change your primary equipment to the Echo Flute and then press the R2/RZ button to play it. Once you do you will hear a musical sound and then you will see a direction of the nearest gold deposit.
To find the initial gold deposit you’ll need to use the echo flute in the south west tunnel from the old lift. You’ll need to dig in this area until you reach the gold deposit.
After you’ve found the first gold deposit you will then need to find two more. One deposit can be found by playing the Echo Flute next to the Old Lift and the other can be found by heading into the grotto area which has the large mushrooms. Both of these locations are on the Lower Level of the Khrumbul-Dun mine. To get to the old lift you can simply warp to it from the map using fast travel. After you’ve located this one, the grotto is located due north of the old lift. If you’ve unlocked the naviglobe in the The Marshroom Room you can fast travel there as well.
Once you have gold there are a number of different activities that can be completed back at the town. You can finish off the new bar with the gold accents required, or you can make fancier accommodations for the townsfolk.
