In order to install a new patch for FIFA 21, the EA online servers will be down for maintenance for quite a while. FIFA 21 is not the only game that’s going down either.
EA Sports has announced that FIFA 21 and older games will be undergoing a pretty long maintenance period later today on July 27th, 2021. The maintenance in question will last for 8.5 hours in the early morning and early afternoon.
You won’t be able to connect to the EA online servers while this maintenance is being done. The games affected by this maintenance include FIFA 21, FIFA 20, FIFA 19, FIFA 18, FIFA 17, FIFA 16 and FIFA 15.

Maintenance announcement
“We have scheduled maintenance coming up on July 27, from 5:00 AM to 12:30 PM UTC. FUT & VOLTA FOOTBALL match creation will be disabled 30 minutes prior to the maintenance in order to avoid potential mid-match disconnects. During this time, you may be disconnected or unable to connect to EA Servers on all platforms.The following Titles will be impacted: FIFA 15/16/17/18/19/20/21.”
We will also let you know later today when the console versions of the game will be receiving a new patch. FIFA 21 is out now for the PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Google Stadia platforms.
