Wheelspins are a great way to obtain Legendary cars and credits in huge amounts in Forza Horizon 5. However, unlocking a chance to use the Wheelspin might be a bit tricky or inconsistent. As useful as they can be, it makes sense that they’d be similarly hard to acquire. In this guide, we’ll be teaching you how to unlock Wheelspins and the coveted Super Wheelspins quickly and as cheaply as possible.
How to Get Wheelspins in Forza Horizon 5
As you play through the game, you should see a ton of chances to unlock regular Wheelspins. These spins are usually dropped whenever you level up, which you can easily do by completing any of the events dotted around the map to gain XP. The true difficulty comes in gaining Super Wheelspins, a far rarer and accordingly more powerful version of the normal spin.
Fortunately, there are at least two consistent methods of unlocking Super Wheelspins in Forza Horizon 5. The first, and arguably less time-intensive, involves purchasing houses. Several houses in the game will provide Super Wheelspins as a reward for purchasing them, but you shouldn’t go buying them at random. Each house has its own value, and some are worth more than others. These Super Wheelspin houses are ordered from least to most valuable below.
- La Casa Solariega – This house costs 1,500,000 CR and will unlock 5 Super Wheelspins
- Hotel Castillo – This house costs 5,000,000 CR and will unlock 2 Super Wheelspins
- Buenas Vistas – This house costs 2,000,000 CR and will unlock 2 Super Wheelspins
- La Cabana – This house costs 150,000 CR and will unlock 1 Super Wheelspin
- Lugar Tranquilo – This house costs 700,000 CR and will unlock 1 Super Wheelspin
To help you break this down, La Casa Solariega and La Cabana get you the most bang for your buck by far, at a rate of 300,000 CR/Wheelspin and 150,000 CR/Wheelspin respectively. Hotel Castillo is the most expensive option by any measure, but it does provide you with a free daily Wheelspin. Ultimately, however, the choice is up to you.
How to Get Super Wheelspins for “Free”
If you lack the money necessary for the above method, there are other, skill-based ways of obtaining Super Wheelspins in Forza Horizon 5. The main method is by drifting to unlock high amounts of skill points. If you aren’t sure how to do this first step, you can check out our guide on how to drift first. Make sure it’s memorized, however, because this method is a little tricky.
Firstly, you’re going to want to purchase the Toyota GR Supra 2020. This car offers you a Super Wheelspin every time you obtain 5 Skill Points. And getting those can be done surprisingly quickly.
What you’ll want to do is drive your Supra over to Baja California. This area of the world has several cacti laying about that you can easily smash through in succession. Simply use your car to drift through cacti as quickly as possible to rack up your score, and at the end, you should cash that in for Skill Points.
Once you’ve unlocked as many Skill Points as you can, you can then use those to gain new Super Wheelspins and rinse and repeat until all your Wheelspin slots are used up. Of course, other cars in the game also offer Wheelspins through similar means, but this seems to be the most time-effective way of unlocking Super Wheelspins that we’ve found.
This should cover everything you need to unlock as many Wheelspins as possible in Forza Horizon 5. If you’re looking for help in any other areas, you can click here to see all of our other guides for the game.
