Leveling up is going to be one of your main goals as you progress through Forza Horizon 5, opening up new ways to play, rewards, and coveted cash prizes for you to fill out your garage. If you’re having trouble leveling up fast enough, then this article is for you. We’ll be breaking down exactly how to get where you want as quickly as possible in order to help you see more of the game.
How to Level Up Fast in Forza Horizon 5
The quickest method to leveling up is going to be finishing races. Throughout the map, you should be able to find various events and races available at any time. Completing any of these will net a rather substantial XP reward, especially if you can finish in first place. Look around the map for races well within your skill to avoid wasting time on a loss. It’s much quicker to try for smaller pools you know you can win than to shoot for large ones on a gamble.
One Million Run
One particular race, the One Million Run, offers a chance for a very large XP gain. Having a mostly straight track, a large portion of the race will allow you to hit top speed and the associated score multiplier. By hopping into this Forza Horizon 5 race with your fastest car and driving on through, you can easily net yourself a huge score multiplier and hundreds of thousands of XP over time.
Skills contribute greatly to XP gains
As you go through the game, you might notice yourself picking up Skill Points as you perform impressive feats that rack up your score value. These Skill Points will provide you with XP, so it’s a good idea to grind for them if you’re looking to maximize your gains. A good method of obtaining Skill Points is to grind your drift while plowing through cacti, a technique elaborated upon further here.
If you want to spice it up a little, other methods of gaining Skill Points include drafting and dodging. The former you can do while completing events, and only requires you to stay near a vehicle while racing them. The second relies on good reflexes. You’ll want to drive into traffic and narrowly avoid oncoming vehicles. Of course, you can also just ram into tin cans and other destructible objects in the environment, but this might seem slow and tedious after a while.
Destroying boards quickly provides XP
In addition to providing fast travel options, several boards throughout the map will grant you an XP reward once destroyed. These boards can be found throughout the map, and we have a guide on how to locate them that can be found here. Essentially, just filter your map to only show Bonus Boards and then head out on your drive. Crush all the XP boards across the map to net yourself a high gain in a relatively short amount of time.
This guide should cover all the best methods of XP gain to level up in Forza Horizon 5. If you’re stuck on any other areas of the game, you can find our other guides to help yourself out by clicking here.
