Genshin Impact 2.7: How to Clear Floor 12 of Spiral Abyss

Recommended Videos

Beating the Spiral Abyss in Genshin Impact may have gotten easier with time for the dedicated player, but with every new patch comes a new lineup of enemies, patch 2.7 like all past patches follows this rule. Compared to the past few patches where the difficulty in enemy floors came from stacking Abyss Heralds or Lectors, patch 2.7 reverts to the previous boss rush formula, pitting the player against strong enemies and bosses in an endurance check. This guide will illustrate things to keep in mind and strategies for clearing the Spiral Abyss in the newest version of Genshin Impact.

How to Clear Floor 12 of the Spiral Abyss in Patch 2.7 of Genshin Impact

The general idea would be for the players to have a team with Pyro characters ready for the First Half, with an elemental reaction team that isn’t Cryo in the Second Half. The first half of floor 12 features mostly cryo enemies, such as Frostarm Lawachurls, Cryo Slimes, and Mitachurls holding Ice shields. Bringing a pyro character helps tear down their shields with haste, giving players more time to tackle the tougher enemies and bosses in the Second Half.

As for why it isn’t advisable to run a reaction team that isn’t cryo in the second half, the answer can be boiled down to the fact that there is a cryo device situated in the middle of the floor that will imbue enemies with the cryo element. Bringing a non-elemental team or a cryo team would prove ineffective against the imbued cryo element on enemies, resulting in only being able to deal limited damage. Pyro or Hydro characters will deal with such dilemmas effectively, either melting or freezing the enemy imbued with such elements.

Keep an eye on the Blessings for the current Spiral Abyss and the Benediction cards that you pick for each chamber, this will help to cover for the lack of damage that a player might have with a team that isn’t well built. The current Blessing for example would synergize rather well with a damage dealer like Diluc, who uses his Elemental Skill in conjunction with his Normal attacks. There are premium or limited alternatives to consider, such as Ayato or Childe, but they might be better suited for the second half due to being Hydro in element.

A universal strategy that will work well for this iteration of the Spiral Abyss is to bring a team of DPS with a Pyro and Anemo support in the First Half to have quick and consistent elemental reactions. Doing so will help save time from chambers in the First Half for spending in the Second Half. Bring your strongest or most durable team in the Second Half for the boss fights. A Zhongli or Kokomi would prove handy in providing survivability, but cheaper alternatives like Barbara or Qiqi should work to equal extents.

With enough attempts and good luck, clearing floor 12 of the Spiral Abyss in patch 2.7 should prove doable at the end of the day. The extra Primogems will come in handy for whatever characters the player has an intent to obtain, whether it’s Yelan, or some other characters that will arrive in the near distant future.
