Ghost Recon Breakpoint gives players the option to parachute out of helicopters or use it base jump, but you’ll actually need to unlock the item before you can use it.  Thankfully, the parachute is one of the first items you’ll unlock.

To unlock the Parachute simply head into the skills menu.  The Parachute is located under the Basics section of the skills menu.  It’s smack dab in the middle of the screen and is one of the core requirements to further upgrade your character from this node that connects all others.

Parachute from Chopper

Once you have the parachute you can use it in different situations.  If you’re in a helicopter you will now find that there is a button prompt for parachuting.  Exiting the helicopter while airborne will now give you a parachute prompt.  While flying the helicopter simply press the X Button to exit and the A button to deploy the chute.  (Square button and X Button on PlayStation).

Base Jump with Parachute

To base jump you’re going to need to have a good spot to base jump from and you’ll need to press and hold the A Button to do the jump.  Base jumping is a little bit tricker because once you initiate the jump you’re going to have to deploy the parachute by pressing the A button again.  If you choose a bad spot to base jump from, you could find yourself dead from fall damage.
