GTA Online has a Phantom Car freemode event that the developers have added to the game with a few other special Halloween events. The Halloween season has arrived in GTA Online and Rockstar has some great content and LTMs for players. The Phantom Car Halloween event is Rockstar’s way of praising the 1983 horror film Christine based on the author Stephen King’s book. It revolves around a psycho car that comes to its senses and has a variety of harmful and destructive sentiments that terrorize numerous kids and teens. If you are looking to experience this yourself, here is how you can find the Phantom Car in GTA Online.

How to start the Phantom Car Freemode Event in GTA Online

In order to locate the Phantom Car in GTA Online, you need to meet some prerequisites. These are pretty simple and once you follow everything correctly, the Ghost Car will grace you with its presence. Here’s how you can come across the violent Phantom Car in GTA Online:

• In GTA Online, enter ‘Free Roam’ and don’t enter a building.
• You will need to wait until the time is between 9.00 pm and 5.00 am in-game.
• Make sure you don’t use any particular vehicle or boat. Vehicles like helicopters, boats, planes, cars with weapons, the Deluxo, or the Oppressor/Oppressor MK2 will not allow the Phantom Car to spawn.
• Phantom Car will arrive after at least 16 minutes have passed since the free roam session started.
• There has to be at least one other player in the same session to find the Phantom Car. You cannot do this in a solo session.
• With all the above conditions satisfied, simply walk or drive around until some ominous music starts playing.
• If you are in a vehicle, you will observe a Declasse Tornado with just its “headlights on” following you.
• If you are walking or standing, the Phantom Car will be on fire, have bright red headlights, and aggressively drive towards you continuously.
