Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is filled with decisions to make, and you’ll have to decide if you should hide the creature or the tech at the beginning of Chapter 2. After a brief excursion into the Quarantine Zone in the first chapter, the group takes in an odd llama creature before being caught by the Nova Corps. Officers are about to board the ship and they won’t be too happy that you’ve got that creature with you. Rocket also mentions he has some highly illegal parts onboard the Milano as well, and Nova Corps won’t like that either. As the leader of the group, it’s up to you to decide what to hide and fast.
Should You Hide the Creature or the Tech in Guardians of the Galaxy?
You only have a few short seconds to choose between Rocket’s tech or the newfound space llama. Rocket advises hiding the tech, while the rest of the group recommends hiding the creature. There are a few minor differences between the two, but there’s really no wrong answer here. Keep reading below to see the different consequences for each choice.
What Happens If You Hide the Creature?
If you hide the creature, then the Nova Corps officers will discover and confiscate Rocket’s illegal tech. This will upset Rocket, and he’ll have some minor dialogue changes in the next few chapters to reflect that. You will also receive a 7,000 Credit fine and the llama will remain on the ship.
What Happens If You Hide the Tech?
If you decide to hide the tech, then the Nova Corps officers will find the llama onboard the Milano. They won’t confiscate it though, so it’ll stick around on the ship for the time being. The fine for having the creature is more expensive than the tech though, so you’ll owe 8,000 Units to the Nova Corps. However, since you stashed the tech, the Milano will have access to a slightly upgraded arsenal in a boss fight much later in the game.
Which Option is Better?
Most people will find that hiding the tech is the better choice. If you hide the creature, you’ll receive a slightly lower fine, but Units really don’t matter in the grand scheme of things. It’s worth taking the 8,000 Units fine so you can use the Milano’s full firepower later in the game. Of course, this comes down to personal preference and there’s really no wrong answer here. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is all about leading the team for yourself, so just make whatever choice feels right.
