How to Get Horns of Blood Mead to Increase Max Rage in God of War Ragnarok

Horns of Blood Mead are special items that increase your maximum rage. Rage is a powerful tool in God of War Ragnarok, allowing you to deal massive damage to your enemies or even heal. Since rage is so useful, you’ll want to find as many Horns of Blood Mead as you can.

To find and collect Horns of Blood Mead, you need to open Nornir chests. Another returning feature, Nornir chests are puzzle chests that have three runic requirements. Explore the nearby environment to find and activate the runic puzzles. Once all three runic symbols are addressed, you’ll unlock the Nornir chest.

Inside Nornir chests, you’ll find either Horns of Blood Mead or Idunn Apples. Idunn Apples increase your maximum health. Both of these prizes are great, so make sure to complete every Nornir chest you come across.

As you obtain more Horns of Blood Mead, you’ll be required to get more to increase your max rage. In other words, your max rage will increase the first time you obtain a Horns of Blood Mead, but the second time you acquire it, you’ll need two to increase your max rage.

You are able to increase your max rage five times in God of War Ragnarok, so be consistent and open as many Nornir chests as you can. You’ll be glad you did after seeing your rage meter get bigger and bigger.

God of War Ragnarok is available now on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
