Pokemon Go is one of those gaming wonders that just seems to endure despite the slow decline from the initial player base when it first launched during the summer of 2016. It was a cultural phenomenon that had everyone and their mother catching Pokemon wherever they would go and in big cities, it would be common to see people gathering at the gym locations and battling it out for neighborhood supremacy. One of the most popular Pokemon to catch these days is Eevee because despite it being a first-generation Pokemon, it can evolve into a few different variations that make it so valuable. One of those is Sylveon which is a fairy-type Pokemon. Here’s how to get Sylveon in Pokemon Go.
How to Get Sylveon in Pokemon Go
If you want to evolve your Eevee into a Sylveon, there are two methods you can choose to use to make this happen. The first is you simply rename your Eevee to Kira and it will automatically evolve into Sylveon without any other requirements needed. This will cost you 25 Eevee Candy to do though and once you try this strategy once, that’s the only time you can use it to make a Sylveon.
Once you’ve exhausted the first method, you’ll be stuck with the second method from here on out. What you have to do here is set Eevee as your buddy Pokemon. After you do this, you need to earn 70 hearts with Eevee as your buddy. Now, you’re limited to 12 or so hearts a day with your buddy which can be earned by feeding it berries, walking around with it, and battling using Eevee as well. This means it will take you around a week to evolve your Eevee using this method. there is a workaround here though as you can feed Eevee Poffin to increase the amount of hearts you can earn over a day. Once you’ve earned the 70 hearts needed, you will still need the required 25 Eevee Candy in order to evolve it into Sylveon.
Pokemon Go has expanded so much from the early days of the app, but the same draw remains the same. You want to collect all the Pokemon you can and evolve them to their highest form and with Eevee, you have the ability to get a bunch of different forms out of just one little creature. With fairy-type being a rarity in the Pokemon Go realm, hopefully, this guide will get you the Sylveon you’ve been looking for.
Pokemon Go is available now on IOS and Android devices.
