The controller layout for PUBG on Xbox One is a little bit different than other shooter games. Since PUBG allows players to play in both first and third person, you can also aim down sights in both perspectives. But for those that want to use scopes in PUBG it can be a little bit confusing.
How to use a scope or Aim Down Sights in PUBG
- Step 1: Equip Scope to Weapon
- Step 2: Tap Left Trigger (LT) to Aim Down Sights (ADS) with Scope.
- Step 3: Tap Left Trigger (LT) Again to return to default view.
To use a scoped weapon in PUBG, first of all you have to find a scope. They come in numerous varieties, including red dot scopes, 2X, 4X, 8X, and others which you’ll encounter on weapons like the crossbow. Regardless, once you’ve found a scope through looting buildings or other players dead bodies, you’ll need to apply that scope to a weapon that can use it.
Once you’ve got the scope equipped, this is where things get a little different than other shooters. Like other shooters you use the Left Trigger on the Xbox One gamepad to pull up the scope, however, unlike other shooters you don’t have to hold down the trigger button. If you tap the Left Trigger it will pull up the scope until you tap the button again.
If you hold down the Left Trigger it will use the third person view.
