Recommended Videos

Virtual concerts have been on the rise recently with the likes of Fortnite taking front and centre with artists such as Marshmello, Travis Scott, J Balvin, and Ariana Grande all hosting their own exciting concerts for fans of the game to enjoy. It is now Roblox’s turn, with Twenty One Pilots marking the first concert in the history of the illustrious game’s lineage to have a concert within. The ‘Roblox Twenty One Pilots concert’ aims to bring its own unique spin on the formula of a virtual concert and will likely seek to give an experience that players will remember for a long time.

When Does the Concert Start?

The concert starts on Friday, September 17th at 4 pm PT/7 pm ET, and at midnight on the ‘same’ day for the UK. The concert will run through Sunday repeating hourly and until Monday at 2 am if you are in Eastern Time.  There will also be a preshow which will be live at 4 pm PT/7 pm ET on Wednesday, 15th September. This will also repeat hourly until the 19th at 3 pm PT/6 pm ET.

How to Watch the Concert

In order to watch the Concert, players can join the venue through the following game world. The title of the world is the ‘Twenty One Pilots Concert Experience’. This can be accessed at the moment for all players. As of the time being, there are scavenger hunts going on within the venue up until the concert start date and ‘metaverse hunts’ all across Roblox’s platform outwith the venue.

The Benefits of Going to the Roblox Twenty One Pilots Concert

You may be wondering what the benefits are of going to the concert; well, even if you’re not a Roblox fan, the concert will still contain set pieces and music from the platinum-selling band Twenty One Pilots. The concert itself was worked on immensely by the team and the band. The following was said interview conducted by the Billboard, and fans will get a better understanding of what work went into preparing for the concert. They said:

“The Roblox team has made an effort every step of the way to honor the band’s fans, its lore and history to make sure this experience aligns with what people can expect from a show.”

The team scanned Joseph and Dun with hundreds of cameras to generate their avatars, then used motion-capture suits to track their movements as they performed live. That pre-taped performance was then placed in the virtual environment.

“You need artists that have the vision and are willing to put in a lot of work,” Ruxandra says. “Tyler and Josh and Marc spent an enormous amount of time ensuring that they were captured in a way that enabled Roblox to create an experience that felt real and authentic.”

Along with notably preparing a new concert experience, Roblox is also offering an exclusive collection of collections tailored to the band’s style to wear within the game.

Will you be going to this concert when it starts later in the week?

Roblox is available to play on IOS, Android, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC right now.
