While the roster included on disc in Injustice 2 is very impressive with its scale and variety, there are always going to be characters left out that others were really hoping to see available in the game. To help bring additional characters into the roster without having to actually develop an entirely new character, Injustice 2 has introduced premier skins, including one for the fan favorite Vixen.
Vixen has been around in the comics for years, but she really began to garner more popularity with her appearance on the Justice League Unlimited animated series, before more recently being featured in Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow as two different iterations of the character, along with an animated web series. Using a totem to summon animal spirits seemed like a perfect character to put in the game, and she is available in a very limited form.
Rather than being her own distinct character, Vixen is included in Injustice 2 as a premier skin for the existing Cheetah. Sadly, this means she is missing her variety of animal summoning skills. On the other hand, she is still a pretty natural fit and even has glowing claws like she has summoned some beast in battle.
Vixen will not be available from the get go in Injustice 2 though, so you will have to put in a little work to obtain her. As of right now, the Vixen premier skin can’t just be bought outright. However, she is purchased in-game with what are known as source crystals. These are not all that common to find in the game, but Vixen will cost you 6,000 of them.
By redeeming these 6,000 of the source crystals, you will now have access to the Vixen premier skin for Cheetah. Simply go and create a new loadout and choose Vixen from within the shader option to access her in the game from that point onward.
