UPDATE: Deltarune Chapter 2 was released for Nintendo Switch following the most recent Nintendo Direct, and it appears that the same update is available on PlayStation. Downloading the most recent Deltarune update on PlayStation should allow you to play Deltarune Chapter 2. The original story follows below.
For now, Deltarune Chapter 2 is not available on PlayStation 4 or 5, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it won’t be coming soon. The reveal for the second chapter came through Undertale’s sixth-anniversary celebrations when Toby Fox used the event to announce the imminent release for Mac and PC.
When is Deltarune Chapter 2 Coming to PS4 and PS5?
This news may disappoint some PlayStation owners, but don’t despair yet. First, it’s worth noting that Deltarune Chapter 1 was initially released to Mac and PC and later found its way onto consoles. So, we’re still expecting to see it land onto the Playstation in the future, and we think we have a decent estimate of when.
Deltarune Chapter 2 PlayStation Release Date
There was a three-month delay between the launch of Deltarune Chapter 1 for Mac and PC and the PlayStation 4 release, so we think it’s fair to anticipate the same sort of wait here. Of course, we can’t be sure with no official word, but we think it’s a reasonable estimate with extra developers brought in to help on the project. Hopefully, that means PlayStation owners could be back with Kris and the gang in the Dark World before too long.
In the meantime, make sure that your save file for the first game is complete, as you won’t be able to transfer your save file to Deltarune Chapter 2 without having made it to the credits in the first chapter.
