Link’s sword is always a very important part of the Legend of Zelda franchise, regardless of which game you are playing in the series. Besides his basic slashing attacks, Link has always had some special tricks up his sleeve and that’s no different in The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening. This guide will detail just how you can pull off Link’s Sword Spin Attack in The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening remake for Nintendo Switch.

Attacking with your sword is very easy by pressing B. This slashes out in front of you to damage and enemy or say clear grass in front of you. But say you have a group of enemies closing on your or you want to cut down a bunch of grass around you quickly. To do this, you will want to utilize the Sword Spin Attack.

To pull this off, hold down the B button and you will hear your sword start to charge. When your sword dings, let B go to do a Sword Spin Attack right around you. While a good number of the Legend of Zelda games mix in the Sword Spin Attack with your Magic Meter, that is not the case in The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening. You can use the Sword Spin Attack to your heart’s desire at no cost this time.
